Chieftain; the leader was founded in 2018 in San Francisco by Uche Iheuwa. Chieftain was created to be a destination for men, women, and children with love for elements of African/Black aesthetics, arts, symbols & patterns giving them a distinctive appearance. Our design languages are; color, form & texture. On April 15th, 2022, Chieftain launched it's first collection of silk scarves introducing a unique print "T-mono pattern" and a unisex collection of sunglasses "Dreamer" was launched. We plan to expand our products line ranging from handbags, ready to wear, jewelry, footwear accessories and leather-goods.
FLAG / COLOR PALETTE
Our brand’s flag is made up rich and earthy colors (black,beige,burgundy,brown) that resonates with every human irrespective of their background and skin color. These colors represents the foundation of Chieftain, it's reminds us of who we are now and what we intend to become in the future.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Uche Iheuwa is a Nigerian-born immigrant. He moved over to the united states shortly after undergrad, studied industrial design at the Academy of Arts University (AAU) in San Francisco, California where he's based at. The dream that started 10years has finally manifested, inspired from from his background and roots.
